Josh Morse is a 21-year-old junior at San Diego State University who was elected student-body president this week. He'll take office on May 1st . . . despite the fact that he was HOMELESS for part of his childhood.
--Josh's father abandoned the family when Josh was five . . . and his mother struggled with substance abuse for much of his childhood. At different points, they lived in a tent . . . and in a car.
--At age 11, Josh decided to set out on his own . . . and left home. He stayed on friends' couches or with relatives for almost a year, before he was placed with a foster family.
--Josh attends San Diego State as part of the Guardian Scholars Program, which offers former foster children a chance at an education.
