Talk as much smack as you want about the Post Office and how dysfunctional they are . . . but this is badass.
Jo Amerson is a postal worker in Evans City, Pennsylvania. (--Jo's age wasn't given . . . she looks like she's about 30. Evans City is 35 miles north of Pittsburgh.)
--And on Friday, she was making the rounds when she noticed flames coming from a house along her route. So she sprang into action.
--First she broke out some windows, to make sure no one was trapped inside. And it seemed like no one was home.
--It turns out a mother and her three-year-old daughter had JUST left for a doctor's appointment before the fire began. But Diesel, the family dog, was lying unconscious on the floor.
--So Jo went INTO the burning house, pulled Diesel out, gave him CPR to get him breathing again, and saved his life. She said, quote, "It's all in a day's work. I did what everyone would do. It's a life."
