Edythe Kirchmaier of Santa Barbara, California had a birthday last Tuesday . . . and turned 105 years old.

--And the next day, she had to go to the DMV . . . to RENEW her driver's license.  They made her take a driving test . . . and she PASSED.

--She took her first driving test in 1927 . . . in a Ford Model A.  (--She would have been 19 at the time.)  Calvin Coolidge was president . . . and Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs for the Yankees to set a record.  It was also two years before the Great Depression started.

--Edythe drives a 1997 Dodge Caravan now, and still works at a non-profit called Direct Relief International . . . where she's worked for the last 40 years.

--She's also active online.  She has a Facebook profile . . . and Facebook said that she's their oldest member.
