In July, nine-year-old Lauren Hontz of Severn, Maryland lost everything she owned when her family's home burned down.  (--Severn is 28 minutes southwest of Baltimore.)

--She remembers how hard it was to get through those first few days, when no one in her family had any possessions at all . . . and she's using that experience to help other disaster victims.

--Despite being a victim herself four months ago, Lauren has started a charity called Lauren's Luggage.

--She packs bags filled with everything that disaster victims will need to get through those first few days . . . everything from blankets and stuffed animals, to toiletries like shampoo.

--She gives the bags to fire departments, so they'll be ready when responding to someone who suffered like her family did.
