At every Washington Nationals home game, they have something called the "Presidents Race" in the middle of the fourth inning, where mascot versions of ex-presidents run around the field.

--Yesterday, their Teddy Roosevelt mascot won for the first time . . . which no one cares about, because it's all rigged.  But we're telling you about it because he got a pretty funny pep talk over the weekend from JOHN MCCAIN.

--MLB.com has the video.  It was scripted, but McCain was actually pretty funny.  Near the beginning of the video, he says the Roosevelt mascot has been the victim of a, quote, "vast, left-wing conspiracy by the commie, pinko [liberals in D.C.]."

(--Search for "Teddy and Senator McCain."  And here's the race, if you want to watch it.)
