Don't get into an argument with Reba Williams of Columbus, Ohio . . . because she does NOT give up when she thinks she's right.

--Growing up, she finished all 12 years of school in Mount Vernon, Ohio . . . but a teacher assigned a required book to read during her senior year, and Reba REFUSED.  She said she'd already read the book once . . . hated it . . . and wasn't reading it again.

--So the school withheld her diploma and she couldn't graduate.  They offered a compromise . . . if she read the book over the summer and did a report on it, they'd give her the diploma.  But Reba REFUSED again.

--She doesn't remember the book . . . because this all happened in 1925 or 1926.  (--She ALSO doesn't remember which year she was supposed to graduate.)

--She's 106 years old now . . . and the school has FINALLY knuckled under.  The board of education voted last month to award her a diploma.  They haven't decided whether to mail it to her or have a ceremony.
