Oh MAN is this awkward.  On Tuesday, 27-year-old Robert McDonald of Walton, Kentucky was running for one of the six seats on the city council.  And the voting for the sixth and final seat was so close it took a recount.

--It turned out Robert and a woman named Olivia Ballou TIED, with 669 votes each.  And Robert knows why:  HIS WIFE DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM.

--Robert's wife works nights as a patient care assistant, so she sleeps during the days.  On Tuesday, she woke up 10 minutes before the polls closed and didn't have time to make it to vote.

--Robert says, quote, "If she had just been able to get in to vote, we wouldn't be going through any of this.  You never think it will come down to one vote, but I'm here to tell you it does."

--And now, under the law, that city council seat will be determined by . . . a COIN FLIP.  The date for the coin flip hasn't been set yet.
