In August, a judge ordered 49-year-old Dean Weeks of Clinton, Massachusetts to fix his ex-wife Doreen's dryer as part of the couple's divorce settlement.  (--Clinton is 45 miles northwest of Boston.)

--Dean worked on the dryer and texted Doreen to tell her to test it out.  She did . . . and it EXPLODED.    

--Doreen suffered severe burns on her legs, and the blast blew her little dog out the second-floor window.  (--The dog survived and is doing fine.)   

--Dean was arrested and charged with four counts of assault.  Police think he booby-trapped the dryer to kill Doreen . . . so he could keep the house for himself.    

--Dean pled not guilty to the charges on Thursday.
