The "end-of-year" mash-ups have started popping up online.
The guy who does the "Pop Danthology" videos posted his mash-up of the year's best pop songs yesterday. And DJ Earworm also posted his new "United State of Pop" mash-up. But the Danthology one might be the better of the two.
Will Ferrell did a real news report this weekend, in character as Ron Burgundy from "Anchorman". But he also showed up at a CURLING event in Winnipeg, and it was even better.
The website for Canada's TSN network posted a montage where he's in the booth as a commentator, and also throws a curling stone. And the "Winnipeg Free Press" has footage of his press conference, which was probably the highlight.
He said he could have gone to a football game or a hockey match, but decided to go with curling . . . which he called, quote, "the game of kings."
For the past few years, a guy on YouTube named Greg Benson has posted Black Friday prank videos, where he goes to a store with a list of items that don't exist . . . and tries to get employees to help find them anyway.
He doesn't actually do it ON Black Friday, because it would be IMPOSSIBLE to get someone to help him. But this year, he had people suggest items ONLINE. Then his wife compiled the best ones, so he wouldn't see them until he got to the store.
He just posted the new video yesterday, and this year's products include "Portuguese fish socks," "Justin Bieber's Kwanzaa CD," and "Baby's First Cheese Grater."
(Search for "Black Friday Shopping Prank 2013." He starts at :28. And you'll find a second video with even more itemshere. WARNING: One of the products includes the word "foreskins," and he drops an F-BOMB at 4:07.)
