Last week, there was a story in the news about a 15-year-old in St. Petersburg, Florida named Davion Only, who stood up in church and basically BEGGED for someone to adopt him.
Davion has been in foster care his entire life, and he recently tried to look up his birth mother, but found out she'd died just WEEKS earlier.
And when he spoke at his church, he explained that he's not picky. Saying, quote, "Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don't care." He just wants a family.
Well, now it looks like Davion is going to get his wish. Because he was on "The View" yesterday along with his caseworker . . . who said they've already gotten adoption requests from over TEN THOUSAND people.
The adoption process is expected to take another three to six months. But his caseworker said that, quote, "Without a doubt, Davion will have a family." And Davion told Barbara Walters that he's just looking for "anyone who will love [him]."
Also, it looks like OTHER kids might find families because of this. His caseworker said a lot of the people who have called about Davion said that if they can't adopt HIM, they'd be willing to adopt ANOTHER child instead.
