David Ledesma, a beloved figure in the Tejano music scene, has announced his departure from the band La Dezz and the start of an exciting solo project. In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Ledesma addressed his fans’ questions and concerns about his future in the music industry.

“I am no longer with La Dezz,” Ledesma revealed. “I wish them the very best. Lisa (Mar) and Mark (Ledesma) are two of the top vocalists in this industry, and I have no doubt they will do great things in my absence.”

David expressed his gratitude towards his former bandmates, acknowledging their talent and the honor of sharing the stage with them. “They are all very talented musicians. Best of the best,” he said.

La Dezz is a vibrant force in the Tejano music scene, known for their powerful trio of voices. The San Antonio-based band are veterans in the Tejano industry. La Dezz released their highly-anticipated self-titled debut album in June 2022, which includes tracks like “Amar En Total,” “Regresa,” and “Me Quedo Yo Sufriendo.” Their music continues to resonate with fans, solidifying their place as one of the hottest groups in Tejano music

Despite the difficulty of leaving a band he built with his brothers, David feels it’s time to pursue his own dreams and passion. He is currently recording a solo album, with the first single expected to be released next month. Fans can also look forward to new merchandise.

“I want to thank everyone who’s reached out personally for all your kind words and best wishes,” Ledesma said. “All the support and encouraging words mean a lot to me, and I’m ready to start this new journey with all of you and see where it goes.”

David’s announcement marks a new chapter in his 27-year career in the music industry. He ended his statement with a promise to his fans, friends, and family: “I assure you I’m about to drop some fire for you all to enjoy.”
