Latin Country Artist Andrea Vasquez Releases Her First Spanish Single

One of country music’s most promising emerging artists, Latin-infused country artist Andrea Vasquez has partnered up with Latin artist Jimencio to pay tribute to their Mexican roots with the release of “Si Una Vez”, a signature song which was originally recorded by Latin award-winning artist Selena. Their version of this song is now available on all digital streaming platforms.

This mid-temp song which is best described as a cumbia song mixed with ranchera and Mexican cumbia, is something Andrea always wanted to record but with her own unique spin on it. “When Jimencio and I first met, we instantly bonded and I knew he was the perfect collab for this song,” says Andrea. “We are both from Mexican American descent and wanted to both meet more Latin creatives here in Nashville and figure out ways we can make a difference in the country community.” After getting a standing ovation for their performance of this song together during a Latin Heritage Night show in Nashville, they decided to hop in the studio to record this song.

Their version of the song was produced by Jason Bobo, who has produced Andrea’s previously released music, this song describes a woman feeling regretful of loving a man who does not know what love is. She tells him that she regrets ever being with him and that she will never fall for him again. “I hope this song helps boost women empowerment and self-pride towards a recent breakup,” says Andrea.
