Grupo Intocable is one of the most successful and influential bands in the Tejano/Norteño music scene. They have won multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, sold millions of albums, and toured all over the world. Their distinctive sound blends traditional Mexican folk music with modern pop and rock elements, creating catchy and emotional songs that appeal to a wide audience.

One of the key factors behind their success is the charismatic and talented lead vocalist, Ricky Muñoz. Born on September 15, 1975, in Zapata, Texas, Muñoz started singing at a young age and joined his first band when he was 13. He met his future bandmates in 1993 and formed Grupo Intocable, which means “Untouchable” in Spanish. Since then, he has been the main voice and face of the group, as well as playing the accordion and harmonica.

Muñoz is known for his expressive and versatile singing style, which can range from romantic ballads to upbeat cumbias. He is also a prolific songwriter, having composed or co-written many of the group’s hits. He has also collaborated with other artists, such as La MafiaAlejandro FernándezPepe Aguilar, and Los Tigres del Norte.

Today, as he celebrates his 48th birthday, we want to honor his career and legacy by remembering some of his most iconic songs with Grupo Intocable. Here are five of them:
