CHCI Announces Bobby Pulido and Los Hermanos Rosario Will Headline Awards

Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) announced the entertainment finale at its annual gala will feature two internationally-recognized, Grammy award-winning artists, Los Hermanos Rosario and Bobby Pulido. The gala is the final showcase event of CHCI’s Hispanic Heritage Month events, a widely anticipated and attended celebration honoring the nation’s most remarkable Latino leaders. The gala will be held September 21, 2023, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1978, the Dominican band, Los Hermanos Rosario, were the first group within the merengue genre to be listed on Billboard Magazine’s Top 10. For more than four decades, the group has been breaking records and entertaining audiences worldwide. They are largely credited for popularizing both merengue and bachata music and have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards and five Latin Grammy Awards.

“It’s truly an honor for us to perform at this year’s CHCI Gala during Hispanic Heritage Month,” said Los Hermanos Rosario. “We look forward to bringing Latinos from across the country to the dance floor with many of our favorite hits.”

Bobby Pulido has been hailed as one of the music industry’s most influential Tejano artists. He is recognized for his success in bringing the genre to far-reaching audiences, in particular younger and teenage fans. He was named the Tejano Music Awards’ Male Entertainer of the Year for three consecutive years from 1998-2000 and in 2022 won a Latin Grammy for Best Tejano album.

“During this Hispanic Heritage Month, there’s no other place I’d rather perform than at the CHCI 46th Annual Awards Gala, surrounded by extraordinary Latino leaders from various backgrounds,” said Bobby Pulido. “Through music, people from different walks of life are united and I look forward to sharing Tejano culture through my music para que baile todo nuestro pueblo latino.”

“CHCI is thrilled to have not just one – but two – powerhouse performers at this year’s gala,” said CHCI Chair, Rep. Adriano Espaillat. “This is an incredible opportunity for us to demonstrate just how rich, diverse and varied Latino culture and music is. It is with great appreciation that we welcome both Los Hermanos Rosario and Bobby Pulido to this year’s CHCI 46th Annual Awards Gala.”
