Anikka is a rising star in the Tejano music scene, and she released the official music video for her second single, “Óyeme”, produced by the legendary Shelly Lares. The song is a heartfelt ranchera that expresses Anikka’s desire to be heard and understood by her lover. Anikka co-wrote the song with Lares and José Rosario.

“My sophomore single means so much to me because it has such a personal and emotional meaning behind it,” Anikka tells Tejano Nation. “How it came about was in a moment of sadness and confusion. I was going through a tough time with a romantic partner and all I wanted was to be heard and understood and that’s where the name ‘Óyeme’ comes from. From a place in my heart where only music could fill up those empty words, I needed to hear to feel seen and listened to.”

Anikka has been passionate about music since she was three years old, and she joined her school’s mariachi group when she was 10. She has participated in several singing competitions, such as Tejano IdolFinding the Next Diva Tejana, and The Voice. She debuted with the single “Si Mañana No Me Ves”, also produced by Lares, who praised her unique and incredible voice.

“Óyeme” is part of a series of singles that Lares is releasing to showcase the next generation of Tejano stars. The song is available on all digital platforms, and you can watch the official music video below:
