Stefani Montiel shares details on Music, a 30-year celebration, and more

Stefani Montiel is currently on her Lone Star Nights Tour celebrating 30 years in the Tejano music industry for the award-winning singer. “La Dueña” will perform in Abilene, Texas, tonight and Stefani spoke with Tejano Nation radio affiliate La Voz 93.3 FM in Abilene on Thursday (July 27) about the show. She also shared details on upcoming new music, a planned 30-year celebration event, and much more.

“We have so much coming out. I’m working on some collaborations right now. I have my own album getting ready to come out,” Stefani tells La Voz 93.3 morning host and Program Director, Pete “The Heat” Garcia.

Fans can also expect a special project. “I did another side project,” she said. “It’s kind of interesting. I think when people here it, they’re going to kind of freak out a little bit. I can’t really tell you exactly what it is because it’s getting ready come out within the next few days. It’s exciting. It’s music that has inspired me. Music that I loved growing up listening to Tejano. So, be on the look out for that.”

Stefani added there a plans for an one-night only event that will celebrate her 30-year Hall of Fame career.

“You’re not going to be able to see it anywhere else. It’s going to be incredible. I promise,” she said. “It’s something I’ve never done before and it’s going to be a huge show that we’re going to invite all the public to, to be a part of my 30 years in the industry and celebrating it for one night.”

A new single from Stefani Montiel is expected soon.

Montiel has spent three decades in Texas since her move from New Mexico to pursue a career in Tejano music. A career that includes numerous hit songs, many successful albums, three nominations each for the Grammy Awards and Latin Grammy Awards, and of course multiple Tejano Music Awards, even an induction into the Tejano R.O.O.T.S. Hall of Fame in 2013. She was inducted in the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame in 2022.
