Conjunto Hall of Famer Jaime DeAnda teamed with Grammy winner Chente Barrera for a new collaboration, “Dulce Para Amar,” a ranchera that JDA premiered today on The Bo Corona Show.

“It’s awesome. I love it! I love the song. It’s great,” DeAnda told radio host Bo Corona. “We’re working on a full CD as we speak right now. I got one more track, and I can finish up.”

Barrera is the featured vocalist and drummer on the latest track from JDA.

“Dulca Para Amar” is the latest single from Deanda’s highly-anticipated debut solo album and the first full-length project since life-saving surgery in December 2021, where the Conjunto legend was hospitalized in the ICU for three days with an infection.

DeAnda was recently inducted into the Conjunto Music Hall of Fame and Museum earlier this month in San Benito, Texas, honoring his over 40-year career with most of that time spent as the frontman of Jaime Y Los Chamacos. He split with Los Chamacos in December 2018. The band had been cranking out hit songs together since 1982, releasing many successful albums and classic hits including “Yolanda,” “Mi Musica Favorita,” and many more. They received multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations.

The Bo Corona Show is heard on many radio stations across Texas, including weekday mornings on Z93 FM in Laredo, Texas, and weekday afternoons on Fierro HD in Dallas and Houston, Tejano 95.7/103.3 FM in San Antonio, and KLUB Tejano 106.9 in Victoria, Texas.
