After three years the South Tx Homies prepare for the next chapter in their
career. A chapter that will include some changes and evolution to continue making great music as lead singer Andrew Rodriguez has decided to leave the Latin Grammy-nominated group.
“Our vocalist has departed to pursue new endeavors and we express gratitude for his contribution,” commented Anthony Treviño, bandleader and accordionist for South TX Homies. “Now, we’re eagerly searching for a fresh voice to join our musical family. If you or someone you know has a passion for music, we invite you to audition. Let’s create magic together!”

With the desire to stay at the forefront, will come a series of shows which will have guest vocalists to promote new talent and audition a new lead vocalist. The first show is scheduled for tonight (July 8) at the San Antonio Zoo for its Jungle Boogie – Latin Nights weekly concert series.
At this moment the South Tx Homies are promoting “Si Por Casualidad,” which is currently in the Top 10 of the Tejano Gold Countdown for this week. It’s the latest release from the band’s recent album Una Promesa, which earned Album of the Year at the 2nd annual Guadalupe Productions Conjunto Awards last month in Houston, Texas. The album’s title track was named Single of the Year, and a Conjunto of the Year honor for the band.
