Teen Tejano star Tristan Ramos graduated from high school two years early with honors this spring as the award-winning singer and accordionist continues his music career.
Ramos is the youngest male artist to win a Tejano Music Award at the age of 13 and the youngest to have performed at Vegas Tejano Music Week in Las Vegas. He is also the youngest to have his own record label and the youngest to be endorsed by an accordion company, music company, and hat company.
Tristan was seven years old when he decided to be a musician, proving to the world that he wasn’t too young for anything. He began his career touring with AJ Castillo’s band for a few years and at the age of 11, he decided to venture on his own. He released his debut album, El Principio, and won his first award at the age of 13, Best New Male Artist at the Tejano Music Awards in 2019, becoming the youngest ever to win that award.
He was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and a brain tumor and received two major brain surgeries, one of which left him blind. Tristan didn’t let that bring him down he continued his music career with these health issues, never losing faith, and worked hard to show the world that with God he could conquer anything he put his mind to. He continues to spread awareness for hydrocephalus and brain tumors.
Ramos released his second album, Mediante, in 2021 with 16 songs. He is currently working on his third album with his brothers Dylan and Mason.
He will be attending a university in the fall to work towards a business degree. When he turns 18 he plans to attend Texas Tech University to become a neurosurgeon.
