The second episode of Tejano Music Awards TV aired this week and the show featured interviews with AJ Castillo and the next generation of Tortilla Factory featuring Lia G.
The program, which airs on San Antonio television stations Fox 29 and CW 35 each weekend and is posted on the TMA TV YouTube channel a day later, featured an interview with Castillo and a performance of the accordionist at the Railhouse in Kyle, Texas. Alfredo Guerrero and Lia G of Tortilla Factory shared plans for the 50th anniversary of the legendary group with the next generation of musicians and showcased the music video for “Recuerdame” featuring Lia G and Tejano icon Shelly Lares. A throwback Tejano Music Awards performance from Eddie Gonzalez Y Grupo Vida is also featured on the show.
“TMA TV will be focusing on the New Generation of Tejano Music and building a brighter future for our genre,” said producers on the TMA TV YouTube channel. “We will pay homage to our past with occasional throwbacks and classic videos, but our focus will be on the present and future.”
