Organizers cancel 4th annual Tejano Music Fest due to high winds

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA. – The 4th Annual Tejano Music Fest scheduled for Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 5 pm to 10 pm has been canceled due to high winds.

According to a statement released on Saturday, “The City of Cathedral City and the organizers of the event want everyone involved to have a safe, fun experience and the current conditions simply do not lend itself to achieve that experience.”

The organizers will converse with the scheduled performers on Monday to determine whether to cancel the festival for the year and refund all tickets or reschedule the festival for a mutually agreeable date later this year.

“We will keep all ticket holders apprised of any decision,” said the statement. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may present to our guests, performers, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers.”

According to the event website, TejanoMusicFest.com, the talent lineup included Ram HerreraTejano Highway 281Xplosion, and Chalito Zapata Y Los Traviesos.
