Music roots of Demmi Garcia firmly planted in Tejano

After Tejano iconShelly Laresshared a photo on Instagram with the caption, “YOU READY?”, I knew I had to have more info. The photo features “Little Miss Dynamite” in the studio withMonica SaldivarandDemmi Garciaworking on a project that will also featureSonja De La Paz. Could this be on her upcoming albumLMD82?

I caught up with the beautifulDemmi Garcia-Martinezto get more details. Shelly’s parents and her family have been friends for over thirty years and she invited Demmi to record on her next album. It’s a song about women’s empowerment that showcases all four voices. The genre is Mariachi and all their strengths are heard on the track. So fans stay tuned for somethinghot brewing with Little Miss Dynamite, she’s booming right now too!

Most individuals are not as gifted as this young angelic lady I’ve been following. She’s nothing new to music today because she’s been in the loop for 18 years, Demmi Garcia is her name. Her passion for music started at a very young age. At the age of 10 training and mastering her skills and traits was going to be a challenge but she knew it was her destiny. All the hard work she had to do was part of her mission and it paid off. Her passion ran deep in music and her determination during this time was not only for piano, but guitar, violin, flute, ukulele, mandolin, and the bass. Not only did Demmi try every instrument, but she also mastered each one showcasing all those skills on stage. She is a very talented individual and her vocal skills and octaves are right on track too as she is currenting working on her solo album.

Demmi comes from a musical family. Her mom (momager) is the famousLin AlmanzaofMusic World Ent.Her father isMichael Garciaguitarist from Houston’s powerhouse bandAvizo. Her grandmother isHermelinea EscamillaofLinda Nortenaand her aunt is the legendaryElsa Garcia(mom’s sister).

Demmi is a rising Tejano artist but an already established singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Houston, Texas. Her family line is thick in the music industry and will always be documented in our Hispanic archives, plus her life’s story with her family is even greater. It’s a paved road for a Tejana princess to explore her roots and also sprinkle that horn action! Don’t forget to look for her debut single “Sola,” which was a surprise gift that just happened for her.

“It was supposed to be another cover song but someone pulled the audio from it and it started getting radio play internationally,” Demmi tellsTejano Nation. “I finally uploaded it to streaming services and now it’s about 8.5 K (8,500) streams on Spotify.”

She is featured on “Aventura De Mi Vida,” a song her grandmother wrote that is part of the upcoming Avizo albumMarching On. Demmi has the song title tattooed on her arm because she loves the words of the song because of her health and her family, she has definitely lived an adventure and sacrificed the past for the future. She feels her grandmother wrote these words knowing she would live through her lyrics.

A masterpiece from Christ is created in so many forms through so many people, using as tools an artist to make people happy in the world. I always feel each one of us is full of so many different brilliant skills, we just have to discover them. Demmi is a very classy and respectful individual that loves to sing and meet new fans. She also has her bad days like most individuals who have an autoimmune disease. Demmi was diagnosed with gastroparesis, a condition that affects the normal spontaneous movement of the muscles (motility) in your stomach. Ordinarily, strong muscular contractions propel food through your digestive tract. But with gastroparesis, your stomach’s motility is slowed down or doesn’t work at all, preventing your stomach from emptying properly. Gastroparesis can interfere with normal digestion, cause nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. It can also cause problems with blood sugar levels and nutrition. Although there’s no cure for gastroparesis, changes to your diet, along with medication, can offer some relief. The condition causes Demmi’s stomach and intestines to paralyze, without the medication or her gastric pacemaker, whatever she ingests would just sit her stomach until she vomited. Thankfully she has her battery that shocks her stomach into working, and while there is no cure for this disease it doesn’t allow her much relief. Maybe someone out there knows how to help. I thought I would help by showing love for her cause #Gastroparesisfindacure because I too have an autoimmune disease called crest scleroderma. I, myself with no cure simply frightens me about this whole world. Prayers are always welcomed. Demmi Garcia will conquer it all through her music.

Demmi is currently working on a new single titled, “Let’s Stay Together,” with a ranchera twist. Plus another one, “Con Tu Amor,” featuring Tejano iconDavid Lee Garza. There are so many exciting new things happening for this beautiful lady, who is a rising star in the studio, on albums, and on stage. Look for her at theAll-Star Music Awardsred carpet and awards show, and theTejano Music Awards. Demmi is one of the special ones in the Tejano industry and we welcome her to the world of music.
